XI International PR Festival Went Off With a Bang!

So, the XI International PR Festival has become historical! Two festival days flew by like a flash (which cannot be said about several months of preliminary preparation). And although everything in life tends to end sooner or later, for some reason, it is the good that always ends too quickly. But if we perceive this as a potential start of something new and no less remarkable, then one reason for nostalgic moods automatically becomes less!

International PR-Festival 2013 was a great success and fully met the expectations of the organizers. And, judging by the first reviews, the participants too. Despite minor adjustments in the program, May thunderstorms, and other surprises, the Festival was a success! And this is primarily the merit of those who made up the festival audience this year.

The Organizing Committee wholeheartedly thanks the speakers of the Festival for the fruitful cooperation: Thomas Achelis (Achelis & Partner Gmbh Public Relations), Oleksandr Berdynskikh (Capital), Oleh Bardiak (ABV), Denys Bohush (Bohush Communications), Samantha Bopan (Evening Kyiv), Denis Dovhopolyi (BVU Group), Yuliia Horoshko (Forbes Ukraine), Bohdan Zhaivoronka (Sakura Matsuri), Ievhenii Zahorulko (Smart-Holding), Petro Ivanov (Kyivstar GSM), Oleksii Karpov (Ukrainian PR-League), Ruslan Kraplych (Bulletin of Charity), Shorena Kiknadze (Media Sales Group), Oleksii Kononov (Kharkiv National University of Economics, Golden Compass), Andrii Kren (Vitmark-Ukraine), Anna Lichman (ATB) , Svitlana Liubchenko (Inkerman), Kseniia Matskevych (PR-Prime), Stanislav Naumov (RASO), Paul Niland (PAN Publishing), Olena Oleinyk (Brima d'Espoina), Anders Ostlund (Fryday Kyiv), Daniel Tich (Global Alliance), Rita Rosen (Ilyashev & Partners), Kateryna Semenova (Sakura Matsuri), Ihor Serheiev (BUSINESS), Ivan Stepurin (Summit-Book), Olena Fitie (Ministry of Economic Development and Trade), Stanislav Shuma (Top Lead).

And, of course, I would like to say special thanks to all the participants of the Festival who did not stay away from our celebration of life and decorated the PR festival with their questions and remarks.

Olena Derevianko, Vice-President of the Ukrainian PR-League, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the XI International PR Festival, commented on the results of the event, “The next International PR-Forum is behind, and it's time to sum up the first results and draw some conclusions. In this regard, here is what I would like to draw your attention to. As the experience of foreign speakers shows, the problems of Ukrainian PR are consonant with the problems of the industry in Europe and the world. The primary one is the lack of awareness of potential consumers and society as a whole about the essence of reputation management, its goals and objectives, opportunities, and limitations. Thus, representatives of the PR industry on a global scale today face a common task: to "leave the house" and start literally engaging in "PR of the PR”. This includes explaining to employers/customers the possibilities of modern technologies, the features of measuring the effectiveness of PR activities, etc. At the same time, despite all the “underwater and surface reefs”, the PR industry in Ukraine is developing in the right direction, and we certainly have something to be proud of.”
The Organizing Committee also expresses deep gratitude to the partners and sponsors of the XI International PR Festival, whose support made it possible to hold the most sincere Ukrainian industry forum of the domestic PR industry at a high level.

• In particular, the International Partners of Events were the Institute of Public Relations (IPR Belarus) and Efes Ukraine
• The organization of the event was provided by the PR-Service Agency
• TM Khortytsia – absolute quality
• Treated with wine – INKERMAN International Group of Companies
• Refreshed our communication – “Mug of fresh”
• The Ukrainian Media Holding (publications Komsomolskaya Pravda, Focus, Correspondent) became the general media partner. Capital is the general business media partner. Also, such popular media as the Public People magazine, the Obozrevatel Internet portal, the RegioNews news agency, the Kyiv FM radio, the Vzglyad newspaper, and the Compass Ukraine business search engine helped to cover the event.
• Television partners were “BUSINESS” and “BTB”
• RBC-Ukraine became the general Internet partner
• Among industry media resources, Reklamaster.com, ProPR, Sostav.ua portals, as well as Marketing and Advertising magazine provided assistance in information support of the Festival.
• Warmed with tea – TM "Greenfield"
• Exclusive partner for advertising in the subway – “MSG Group”
• The youth sector was represented by the All-Ukrainian Student Competition of PR projects “Golden Compass”
• Book partners: “Grebennikov. Kyiv" Publishing House and "Balance Business Books" Publishing House
• The partners of the event were Vitmark-Ukraine, TM Lacomba and TM Slobidska.

Although the events of the XI International PR Festival are still very fresh in our memory, the Organizing Committee is already announcing a brainstorming session on the formation of the theme and program of the new PR Forum! Suggestions on the information component of future Events, partnership applications, topics, reports, interactive formats, and just interesting ideas are welcome and gratefully accepted. The authors of the best proposals are guaranteed a place in the program of the event, and their colleagues and friends – preferential conditions for participation in next year's Festival! Passwords, turnout, and contacts of the Organizing Committee remain the same – e-mail and Facebook work stably and around the clock.
