Doctor of Economics, one of the founders of the Ukrainian school of reputation management. Engaged in business journalism and PR industry (business, politics) since 1998. Co-founder and partner of the PR-Service Agency (one of the leaders of the Ukrainian PR market according to the industry ratings since 2003).
Was elected Vice President of the Ukrainian PR League at the beginning of 2007. Awarded with title “Personal Brand” in nomination “Agency PR” according to the results of a survey of Ukrainian PR experts conducted by the industry publication Marketing Media Review in 2009.
She oversaw communication activities in preparing Kharkiv and Ukraine for EURO 2012. Organized the Grand Opening of the Metalist stadium and the Kharkiv International Airport with the participation of the top leadership of Ukraine and the UEFA leadership and acted as a co-organizer of several other VIP events.
In 2019, became the first representative of the countries of Eastern Europe in the team of the well-known analytical Centre for European Democracy Studies (Belgium, Brussels).
Head of the Crisis Communications Committee of the Association of Corporate Security Professionals of Ukraine since 2018; a member of the Board of this organization since 2020.
In March 2013, she led the “Business Lady of the Advertising and Communication Market” rating initiated by the same publication. In 2021, Derevianko was added to the rating of the “Best Business Ladies of Ukraine” of the SHINE 2021 project by Investory News; won the nomination for "Women Leadership” at the SHE Congress in 2020-2021.
Author of more than 80 scientific papers and 200 popular science articles in various media, co-author of several textbooks for students of economic universities, and a scientific monograph on reputation management, published in three languages. Conducts active educational activities: gives public lectures in the most respected universities of the country; gives master classes for students of MBA programs and entrepreneurs from various sectors of the economy and PR specialists of government bodies and NGOs; periodically conducts public and private author trainings. Permanent speaker at professional conferences of various industry orientations and issues.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the annual International PR-Festival in Kyiv, which was rebranded in 2023 and continues to be held under the name PRNext International Forum since 2023.
Since 2015, the National Rating of the Quality of Corporate Reputation Management “Reputation Activists” project has been implemented under the leadership of Olena Derevianko and based on the methodology developed by her where an independent jury of more than 100 experts identifies and awards companies where reputation management is put on a systematic basis and is successfully carried out by PR teams, top management, and beneficiaries.
